The gangsta's lifestyle never really suited Tupac. From past conversations I had with Tupac, I can tell that he is really just a lovable, tender guy. He once told me that his favorite sound is the gentle lapping of waves against shoreline. He said this has always calmed him. When I asked him why, he said: "Man, listen. The tricked out hoop-D's that you see rollin' around the South side typically are poor representations of a good audio system. You need BALANCE. The excessive drives me crazy. Honestly...I was never able to get a good mix at any show I did."

He makes a good point. The treble in his songs often goes unnoticed; a great disappointment to the man who hand-crafted every note on each of his albums. "2Pacalypse Now, Strictly for my NIGGAZ (N.I.G.G.A.Z.), Me against world, All Eyes on Me, and Don Killuminati, were farcical nonsense. I wish more people would realize that," remarks Mr. Amaru. "Death Faker, which comes out this year, will be a treble masterpiece. I can't wait to release it."

I took the above picture in Acapulco in '03. This is one of Tupac's favorite places to cut loose and be "just plain silly." He is hanging out with one of my custom breeds, the "golden short-hair." This particular specimen is a champion show-hamster, and goes by the name M.C. Hamster.

"I guess you could say the name is a homage to another peaceful rapper friend of mine," commented Shakur.
