The name of this candy bar is a clear warning in itself. Why would the creators of this candy not call it anything? This is a candy bar without a game plan. It must be a 2nd cousin to the "Zero" bar.
Several hundred years ago, clinical depression was called melancholy. People knocked on wood to chase evil spirits away. It would seem that with our current knowledge of science, math, physics, chemistry, etc. we would be able to develop accurate terms and explanations for the things that surround us. What the heck happened on the day that Hershey's created this candy bar? Does this candy possess any attribute worth mentioning? Evidently not.
At very least it could be labeled with a ridiculous name, like: Caramel! or Choco-Bar! or Candy with Peanut Crisp!
A further list of names that would at least convey something about this candy: Candy, Something sweet is inside this wrapper, lump of brownness, Candy sealed airtight, Processed sugar, Legumes, & Cocoa Powder, bargain chocolate, Bomb-Diggety Choco-Blast. I suggest we petition Hershey's to rename this candy? Any suggestions?
