Hurricane Preparedness Chart

Only YOU can prevent hurricanes...so FIGHT BACK!

Face it: Your local weather-dude doesn't know SQUAT.

What does "partly sunny" really mean? Wouldn't the phrase "partly sunny" imply that there is also a presence of some clouds? SERIOUSLY, "partly sunny" could mean that it is storming like HELL outside, and occasionally the sun is peeking through. "Partly" is ambiguous. And how about "A chance of showers?"...hmmm...that's rather unhelpful. Indeed, that's crap.

There are no absolutes on the weather channel aside from Lowe's and Home Depot advertisements. That, and the smarmy weatherdude. The ever-present smarmy "forecaster." Huh. I put more faith in a groundhog's natural instinct than I do "doppler radar".

The average forecast could be boiled down: "The atmosphere is ever-changing; therefore there is a chance that something atmospheric may happen in your area."

If you live near any large body of water (like a swimming pool) you should probably print this chart. A hurricane can develop within 15 minutes in any warm body of water, and totally wreck your world.

Give it a try! You'll be amazed at how easily you'll be able to weather the tropical cyclone that passes your way! You'll breeze right through it.*
